The International Franz Schubert Competition, held in the city of Ruse for the past 30 years, is a unique format dedicated to promoting the work of Franz Schubert while providing a platform for the performance and professional recognition of young talents. It also creates a distinctive opportunity for the exchange of experience between performers and educators.
Throughout its long history, the competition has welcomed performers from more than 30 countries, including Russia, Japan, South Korea, China, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Italy, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Serbia, Canada, and the United States. At each edition, laureates are selected in the categories of piano, classical singing, piano ensembles, and chamber music.
In this edition of the International Festival March Music Days, the first-prize winners will take part in a concert presenting works by F. Schubert, W. A. Mozart, R. Schumann, A. Schnittke, and N. Kapustin. This concert offers an opportunity to experience the energy, talent, and vivid emotion of young artists who have earned first place through their exceptional mastery.
