Yavor Genov performs with musicians such as Emma Kirkby, Nuria Rial, Andrew Lawrence-King, and Lars Ulrik Mortensen. As a basso continuo player, he has performed with ensembles and orchestras including the European Union Baroque Orchestra, Cordevento, MusicAeterna, Valetta International Baroque Ensemble, and others, with which he has concertized at some of the most prestigious venues in Europe.
Yavor Genov studied lute instruments and basso continuo under Jakob Lindberg.
In the current season, he is preparing a research project and recording of the Basel manuscript by Emmanuel Wurstisen (16th century), as well as a recital featuring French repertoire for theorbo.
He also works as a musicologist in the fields of Renaissance and lute repertoire and Latin monody, to which he has dedicated a book and numerous publications.
