Yana Gottheil, violin
Yana Gottheil was born in Rousse. Graduated from NUI "Prof. Vesselin Stoyanov" – Ruse, NMA "Pancho Vladigerov" – Sofia and the Higher School of Music in Cologne, Germany. He received a special distinction after specializing in chamber music in the class of Andreas Rainer at the Essen University of Music.
She participated in the master classes of prestigious world educators such as V. Tretyakov, I. Niiman, S. Schwartz, P. Monteanu, etc., and won awards from international competitions. She has recordings in BNR, BNT, ARTE, SWR and CDs for the American record company Music Minus One.
She began his professional career as an orchestral musician in the Dusseldorf Symphony Orchestra, and two years later won a competition for the National Orchestra of Belgium in Brussels.
After her fulfilling work with world-renowned conductors and soloists and successful tours in Europe, Asia and South America, Yana devoted herself to her true passion – chamber music.
Specially challenging are her projects as guest concertmaster of the Louis Spohr Chamber Orchestra in Kassel, the Georgian Chamber Orchestra in Ingolstadt, the German Chamber Academy in Neuss and other chamber formations.
The joint work with Kai Schumacher dates back to 2006 and leads to creative and daring projects crossing the boundaries of classical norms and conventional thinking. The duo charmed and challenged their many fans with innovative and conceptual programs at festivals in Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Bern. Upcoming this year are a number of their performances in prestigious concert halls and festivals, including participation in the festival Mecklenburg Vorpommern and a concert at the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg.
Since 2013, Yana Gottheil has been a member of the renowned chamber orchestra Festival Strings in Lucerne, Switzerland.
