Violeta Radomirska, mezzosoprano

Violeta Radomirska was born in Sofia, where since childhood she has performed many concerts as a member of the Children's Radio Choir. She graduated from the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov", and since 1996 she has been a student of the famous mezzo-soprano Alexandrina Milcheva. In 1999, Violetta Radomirska became a member of the International Opera Studio in Zurich, where she remained until 2001. In 2002, she received the award "Le Prix Europeen d'encouragement" from the European Foundation for Culture, which annually awards 10 distinguished young musicians from all over Europe. At the Zurich Opera, Radomirska participated in a number of productions such as: "Salome", "Sly", "The Curious Ladies", "Hernani", "Rigoletto", "The Beautiful Elena" and sang under the direction of Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Nello Santi, Valery Gergiev, Marcello Viotti, William Christie and others.

Between 2002 - 2006, Radomirska was part of the troupe at the Lucerne Opera, participated in productions of "Carmen", "The Magic Flute", "Armida", "The Bat", "Dido and Aeneas" and numerous concerts.

In June 2002, he participated in the performance of "Stabat Mater" by Szymanowski in Milan with the RAI orchestra under the direction of Arnold Bosman. Since 2004, Radomirska has been part of the troupe of the Opera in Biel (Switzerland), where she performs many central mezzo-soprano roles. In 2012, she participated in the recording of the opera "Le donne Curiose by Ermano Wolf Ferrari" with the Munich Radio Orchestra. In 2013 she took part in the performance of Verdi's "Requiem" at KKL Lucerne (Switzerland), guested in Aachen (Germany) in the lead role in "Ariodante" by Handel and in "The Barber of Seville" by Rossini, soloist in "Stabat Mater" by Pergolesi and others. Since 2014 Radomirska has been working as a freelancer and has taken part in a number of concerts and productions, including Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, The Armed Man and Carl Jenkins' Stabat Mater, Mozart's Requiem, Rossini's Stabat Mater, Dvořák's Stabat Mater, performed a number of Baroque works as well as operatic repertoire.

Some of her appearances are: "The Force of Fate" by Verdi at the Plovdiv Opera, "Carmen" by Bizet at the Sofia Opera (2017-2018 season); her Milan Scala debut in "Elektra" by Richard Strauss, "Requiem" by Verdi with the Sofia Philharmonic, concerts in Zurich, Lucerne, Munich (2018-2019 season).

In recent seasons, she performed on the stage of the Sofia Opera as Carmen, Amneris from "Aida" and Eboli from "Don Carlos" by Verdi, Olga from "Eugene Onegin" and Polina from "Dama Pica" by Tchaikovsky, Malika from "Lakme" by Delibes, Malcolm from Rossini's The Lady of the Lake, Neris from Cherubini's Medea, etc. She also has joint performances with the Sofia Philharmonic, the Pleven Philharmonic, the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio, etc.
