Viktor Teodosiev is a Bulgarian horn player, born in 2005 in Sofia into a family of professional musicians. He began playing the French horn at the age of 12, studying with his father, and from an early age attracted the attention of the musical community with his performances as an instrumentalist.

After solid musical development and participation in a master class with the musician Arkady Shilkloper, in 2019 he was admitted to the Lyubomir Pipkov National School of Music in Sofia, where he studied horn in the class of Prof. Vladislav Grigorov.

In 2019, Viktor became the youngest participant in the Summer Music Academy Kroměříž, studying with the world-renowned Czech French horn player Radek Baborák, with whom he now performs on major international stages. He also appears as a soloist with the chamber ensemble Sofia Soloists.

In 2023, by invitation of Radek Baborák, Viktor was a soloist with the Prague Chamber Soloists, and in 2025 he performs as principal French horn of the Czech Sinfonietta – Prague.

In recent years, Viktor has established himself as a leading young musician—principal horn of the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra and section leader of the horn group in the world-renowned Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (for 2024 and 2025). In 2023, he was selected as principal horn of the prestigious Concertgebouw Youth Orchestra in Amsterdam.

Viktor Teodosiev is the recipient of numerous prestigious music awards, including:

  • Yamaha Music Global Prize 2025
  • Grand Prix at the First Academic Competition for Performance of Czech Music for Brass Instruments and the Special Prize “Karel Stari” - 2025
  • First Prize and Special Prize for the performance of a work by P. Hindemith at the 15th Academic Chamber Music Competition with the wind quintet Aureole
  • First Prize and Special Mozart Prize at the 15th International Competition for German and Austrian Music Magic - 2023
  • Grand Prix at the International Chamber Music Competition in Kavadarci, North Macedonia - 2023
  • First Prize at the Tokyo International Youth Competition - 2022, Japan
  • First Prize at the London Classical Music Competition - 2022, United Kingdom
  • First Prize and Gold Medal at the 27th National Competition Svetoslav Obretenov (Provadia)
  • First Prize at the 29th International Competition Music and the Earth (2021, Sofia)
  • Grand Prix among French horn players of all age categories at the Eurochestries International Music Competition - 2021, France, and two special prizes—soloist with the Eurochestries Symphony Orchestra and participation in a series of chamber concerts
  • First Prize with the trio Laureate at the 5th International Competition for Chamber Music and Individual Performers Prof. Asen Diamandiev - 2021
  • First Prize at the 29th International Competition for Composers, Chamber Ensembles, and Instrumentalists Music and the Earth - 2021, Sofia
  • First Prize at the King’s Peak International Music Competition - 2021, USA
  • First Prize among all wind instrument performers in the 14–17 age category at the International Moscow Music Competition - 2020, Russia
  • First Prize at the 2nd International Performers’ Competition within the Tryavna Art Festival (2020), and recipient of the Special Prize—soloist with the Gabrovo Chamber Orchestra
