Svetlana Ancheva, oboe

Svetlana Ancheva was born in the city of Ruse. She graduated from Veselin Stoyanov High School in Ruse and Pancho Vladigerov National Music Academy in Sofia and the Faculty of Theory with oboe and choral conducting. She has been a soloist of the Ruse Philharmonic Orchestra, Sofia National Opera House, Ruse Youth Festival Orchestra, and of the Philharmonic orchestras in Schumen, Burgas, Plovdiv, as well as of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Participates as a soloist in the international festivals "March Music Days" - Ruse, "New Music" - Sofia, Chamber Music Week "Konstantin Iliev" - Dobrich, "Koreadi" in France and "Kharkov Ensemble" - Kharkov, Ukraine. Performs the Bulgarian premieres of the Concerto for oboe, clarinet, and strings by Anatoly Vieru, "Three Pieces" for solo oboe by Yong-Te Ha and of the piece "The Clock of Flowers" by Jean Frances, as well as the world premieres of the Sonata for oboe and piano by V. Kazandjiev and "Music for Glory" by K. Iliev. 20 years she has been a solo oboe in the orchestra of the State Opera - Ruse, and since 2018 she has been a solo oboe of the Sofia Opera and Ballet. In the period 2012 - 2014, she is a solo oboe in the Orchestra of the Academy Chigiana in Siena.

She gives concerts with various instrumentalists and with the ensemble for chamber music "Formantik" created by her, as well as with the organists P. Ognyanova and M. Slavova. She is a member of the ensemble Music Nova.

She has restored from the manuscripts and edited many works, the most significant of which are "Tutrakan Epic" by D. Hristov, the opera "Rodolph" by A. David, works by P. Kleinschmidt, and in 2017 she has orchestrated the music for the play "Viennese Melange" by Vereld Theater in the Netherlands. She is the author of numerous transcriptions for the ensemble "Formantik", including "Spring Whims" by L. Pipkov.

She plays as a soloist with the Ruse State Opera Orchestra and the Sofia Opera and Ballet Orchestra, as well as with other private ensembles in most countries in Europe, America, and Japan.
