Sabina Yordanova graduated from the National Music Academy "Lyubomir Pipkov" with a degree in bassoon and continued her education in Germany. She received master's degrees for soloist with contemporary bassoon from the Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt" Weimar (2008) and the Estonian Music and Theatre Academy Tallinn (2011), as well as a master's degree for soloist with baroque bassoon from the Universität der Künste Berlin (2019). In the period 2019-2023, Sabina Yordanova is a full-time doctoral student at the National Music Academy "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov". In 2023, she successfully defended her dissertation on the topic "Style Features and Interpretation of Baroque Solo Works for Bassoon with a Historical and Contemporary Instrument" and received the scientific and educational degree "Doctor of Musicology and Musical Art". Sabina Yordanova is the winner of numerous awards for solo performance and chamber music from national and international competitions, including First Prize from the International Competition "Music and the Earth" in the "Soloists" category (2012). Solo and chamber performer with numerous appearances, including participation in the festivals "Sofia Music Weeks", "The Art of Baroque", "Days of Music at the Balabanov House", "Musical Tuesdays", "New Bulgarian Music", AFEKT Contemporary Music Festival, Kölner Fest für Alte Musik, Haapsalu Early Music Festival and others. As an orchestra player, Sabina Yordanova has worked in the New Symphony Orchestra, Jenaer Philharmonie, Philharmonie der Nationen, Heidelberger Sinfoniker, Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and many others. Sabina Yordanova's experience in the field of historical interpretation with authentic instruments – dulcian, baroque, classical and romantic bassoon – includes solo concerts, projects with various baroque ensembles, including Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Märkisch Barock, Cordevento, Corelli Baroque Orchestra, Cantores Vagantes, Festival Orchestra "The Art of Baroque", recording of the CD "4 elemens - 4 seasons" with Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and others. Currently, Dr. Sabina Yordanova is a bassoon teacher at the National Music Academy "Lyubomir Pipkov" and a chief assistant and head of the "Bassoon" specialty at the National Music Academy "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov".
