Krassimira Stoyanova was born in Veliko Tarnovo. She graduated from Veselin Stoyanov High School of Music in Ruse with a major in violin and from the Academy of Music, Dance and Visual Arts - Plovdiv with majors in violin, singing and music pedagogy. After that she worked for several years as a violinist in the Plovdiv Philharmonic, the Academic Orchestra at the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" and New Symphony Orchestra.
She made her professional debut as an opera singer with the role of Gilda in the opera "Rigoletto" by Verdi in 1995 at the Sofia National Opera, where for the next 4 years she participated in new productions of the operas "The Marriage of Figaro", "Idomeneus", "The Mercy of Titus" by Mozart, "The Jewess" by Halevi, "Guarani" and "Fosca" by Gomez. After a successful debut at the Staatsoper Vienna in 1998, she was engaged in the ensemble of the theater, where she was a staff soloist from 1999 to 2003. From the fall of 2003 until now, she has been a regular guest - soloist there. In the same theater Stoyanova participated in the new productions of the operas "Falstaff" / Alice, "Le Ville" / Anna, "Othello" / Desdemona, "Don Carlos" / Elisabetta, "Ariadne of Naxos" / Ariadne, "Mermaid", and in addition sings in the productions of "La Traviata" / Violetta, "Bohemia" / Mimi, "Clowns" / Neda, "Turandot" / Lew, "Hoffmann Tales" / Antonia, "The Marriage of Figaro" / Countess, "Don Juan" / Donna Anna, "Simone Bocanegra" / Amelia, "The Jewess" / Rachel and others.
In 2009, Krassimira Stoyanova was awarded the honorary title "Kammersängerin" of the Vienna Staatsoper. Her international career developed rapidly and took her to the most prestigious opera houses and concert halls in the world - Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall in New York, Royal Opera House Covent Garden and Royal Albert Hall in London, Scala Milan, Deutsche Oper, Staatsoper and Konzerthaus Berlin, Musiferein and Konzerthaus Vienna, Salzburg Festival, Nomori Opera Tokyo, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Bavarian Opera Munich, etc. Her fall 2001 debut at the Metropolitan Opera as Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata has been followed over the years by performances of Puccini's Turandot and La Bohème, Mozart's Don Giovanni, Othello and Aida by Verdi, Pagliacci by Leoncavallo and Carmen by Bizet. In the summer of 2003, with the role of Antonia in the opera "Hoffmann's Tales" from Offenbach, she made her debut at the Salzburg Festival, where over the years she sang in concerts conducted by Riccardo Muti, Zubin Meta, Maris Jansons.
In 2014, she sang in the production of "The Knight of the Rose" dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Richard Strauss, which, after being a great success, was repeated in the summer of 2015. At the same festival in 2016, he performed the main role in a new production of the opera "Danaia's Love" by Richard Strauss. Also there in 2017 there will be a concert performance of "Lucrezia Borgia" by Donizetti, as well as a song recital. She has worked with the conductors Riccardo Muti, Zubin Meta, Georges Pretre, Sir Colin Davies, Bernard Heiting, Maris Jansons, Seiji Ozawa, Myung-Wung Chung, Franz Velzer-Möst, Fabio Luisi, Daniele Gatti and others.
In 2007, Krassimira Stoyanova was named "Musician of the Year" by the program "Allegro Vivace" on the Bulgarian National Radio. On October 6, 2009, she was awarded the title of "Kammersängerin" by the Austrian Minister of Education, Arts and Culture, the highest title in Austria awarded to opera singers. In 2014, Stoyanova received the "Golden Feather" award for her contribution to Bulgarian culture and art, and in 2021 she was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen" of Ruse.
Krassimira Stoyanova has recorded 4 CDs with opera arias for the Orfeo recording company, awarded with various prestigious awards - "I palpiti d'amor" - with conductor Friedrich Haider, "Slavic opera arias" - with conductor Pavel Balev, "Verdi" - with conductor Pavel Balev "Verismo" - with conductor Pavel Balev, All four discs are with the Munich Radio Orchestra. For the "Gega New" Music House, she recorded the disc "Sogno d'Or" with all the published songs of Puccini. Discs of concerts with her participation have been released with the orchestras of the Bavarian Radio, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Concertgebouw, Vienna Symphony conducted by Maris Jansons, Riccardo Muti and Georges Pretre.
