Georgi Spasov is the only Bulgarian flutist invited to both the first and second World Flute Symposiums in Nice, where he received high praise as both an instrumentalist and a pedagogue.
He has led masterclasses in Bulgaria, Russia, Cuba, Greece, Turkey, North Macedonia, Japan, and South Korea. He served as an assistant to Professor András Adorján during his masterclasses at the Varna Summer International Festival in 1990 and 1992, as well as at the March Music Days International Festival in Ruse.
Georgi Spasov has served on the juries of many flute competitions both in Bulgaria and abroad. He has performed concerts across numerous countries worldwide.
A laureate of both national and international competitions, he has been awarded the "Golden Lyre" by the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers for his outstanding professional achievements.
Georgi Spasov is Principal Flutist of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra and Professor of Flute at the National Music Academy in Sofia. Dozens of his recordings are preserved in the "Golden Fund" of the Bulgarian National Radio and Bulgarian National Television.
He has made numerous recordings for BNR, BNT, the Balkanton label, and various foreign recording companies. His repertoire includes not only the universally recognized classical works for flute but also many compositions by Bulgarian composers, several of which he premiered.
