Galya Simeonova, soprano
Galya Simeonova (soprano) graduated from the Lyubomir Pipkov Secondary School in Pleven, followed by a master's degree from the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, majoring in opera singing. She is doing a series of masterclasses with the great Bulgarian opera singer Alexandrina Milcheva. In 1996 she won first prize for solo singing at the International Music Competition in Llangollen (England). He is also a laureate of the International Competitions in Nerpelt (Belgium), Montreux (Switzerland), and Ankara (Turkey). He actively participated in a number of opera performances by private companies in Bulgaria and France with titles such as "La Traviata" and "Aida" by Verdi and "Boheme" by Puccini. As a student, she received the role of Barbarina in the NMA's production of the opera "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" by Rossini. Since 2012 she has participated extremely successful as a soloist in the concert performance of "Midsummer Night's Dream" by F. Mendelssohn, conducted by Maestro Emil Tabakov in Sofia with the BNR Orchestra, and then in Ruse with the Ruse Festival Orchestra at the closing concert of the March Music Days I. F. in 2017.
In 2016 the young singer participated with great success as a soloist with the famous Bulgarian violinist Vasko Vassilev and pianist Pamela Nicholson in the big opera tour "Toyota Classic Tour" in Asia with concerts in Brunei, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Vietnam.
In the period 2012 - 2018 the talented singer connects her career with several very strong participations in the programs of MF "March Music Days" as a soloist of the ensemble "Musica Nova" and the Vocal ensemble "Gli Accordati" under the direction of Dragomir Yosifov. She is currently a part of the mixed choir of the Bulgarian National Radio.
