Konstantin Dobroykov

Born into a family of musicians, Konstantin Dobroykov began his musical education at the age of six at National School of music and dance "Dobrin Petkov" in Plovdiv, whose symphony orchestra he conducts since 2021. After graduating from Idyllwild Arts Academy in 2003, he studied percussion and orchestral conducting at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. In 2010 received a master's degree in orchestral conducting from the University of North Carolina: School of the Arts. He spent the next three years studying for his doctorate in orchestral conducting at Boston University. From 2011 to 2013, he was assistant conductor of the Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra, Boston, USA. In 2018, Konstantin Dobroykov was a specialist in the master class of the famous conductor Daniele Gatti.

In the period 2013–2022 he is a conductor and part of the management team of the State Opera in Plovdiv. He has also been the conductor of Sofia Record Factory since 2016, and in 2021 he received a Grammy nomination as the conductor of one of the company's released albums. In 2018, Konstantin Dobroykov made his debut with Sofia Philharmonic, and since 2016 he has been a regular guest conductor in the Symphony Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio. In 2014, he began a close collaboration with the State Philharmonic in Kosice, Slovakia, where he conducted numerous concerts in several consecutive seasons. Konstantin Dobroykov also works with the Radio-Symphonic Orchestra of Slovakia, Bratislava, as well as with Slovakia's leading chamber ensemble, Sinfonieta Bratislava. 

Since 2022 Konstantin Dobroykov is the chief conductor and artistic director of the Sofia Soloists chamber ensemble.
