63. IF "March Music Days" continues with exciting concerts
The program of the 63rd MF "March Music Days" continues this evening with the concert of the young Bulgarian pianist Emanuil Ivanov. At 7 p.m. he will perform works by LV Beethoven, F. Liszt, M. Ravel, B. Bartok.
A bit earlier, at 6 p.m., the best works from the traditional exhibition-competition for contemporary visual arts will be presented and awarded. Every year it is part of the accompanying events of the festival, as the host and organizer is the Ruse Art Gallery, and this year's theme is InTempo. A jury will award prizes from the Municipality of Ruse, the MF "March Music Days", the Union of Bulgarian Artists and the Gallery.
On Wednesday, March 20, for the first time the Bulgarian public will be able to hear the newest album Chameleon by the German saxophone quartet SIGNUM, which takes listeners to almost all eras and genres.
The next day of the festival, March 21, will be entirely dedicated to the great Bulgarian musician, composer and public figure Konstantin Iliev. Only a few days after celebrating the 100th anniversary of his birth, his son Arch. Ventsislav Iliev will share more about the second edition of the author's autobiographical book "Word and Deed", which he managed to realize in recent months. It collects vivid stories from the period 1945-1986 through the conductor's view and assessment of a turbulent time, filled with difficulties, but also with a number of his achievements, raising the Bulgarian musical culture to a new level. The event will be held from 5:30 pm in the Regional History Museum. One of the best string quartets in our country will also pay tribute to Konstantin Iliev on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. From 7 p.m., the ladies from "Frosh" together with the pianist Gergana Nestorova will perform String Quartet No. 4 by the great Bulgarian musician, conductor and teacher who forever connected his life with Ruse. In their program they also include the world premiere of Piano Quintet No. 2. The work was written and dedicated to the quartet by the doyenne Vasil Kazandzhiev, whose 90th birthday we will celebrate in September.
